Disclosure of information vulnerability in Safari PDF Print E-mail

A list of alternative browsers can be found here on the site.

Apple's Safari browser is vulnerable to an attack that allows a
malicious web site to read files on a user's hard drive without user
intervention. Ouch...

or the referring page

Seems for now the best fix is to change the default RSS reader
(whether you use RSS feeds or not...) Mail or perhaps Google for non/
casual RSS users - if you are a heavy RSS user you probably have a
dedicated feed reader anyway...

More Malware misery for Mac Owners PDF Print E-mail
Written by Guy Randall

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01/26/more_mac_malware/

The register is reporting as of yesterday that there are yet more potent applications doing the rounds on the bit torrent sites and masquerading as Anti Virus programs.

An trojan has been discovered in a copy of the Adobe Photoshop CS 4 serial number generator tool. OSX.Trojan.iServices.B comes in through torrent sites and participates the unwilling victims machine in a botnet.

Fake anti Virus for Mac OSx is also in the ascendency, a problem that has plagued PC owners for a few years now is becoming more of an issue for mac owners as well.

The net is slightly more dangerous for mac owners in the New year of 2009, make sure you stay updated with OS X updates and look out for any odd behaviour.

I made a billboard out of my 13" MBpro

Step 1 - Start with a Speck See Thru Case

Step 2 - design an image for it and print to 8x12" in matte finish to avoid the wet look against plastic.

Step 3 - Tape a square of aluminum foil to the back of the photo to keep (sorry - I'm about to blasphemy!) the Apple logo from shining through the photo.

Step 4 - Snap it together! That's it! I didn't even have to tape the photo into place. The Speck's rubber dots keep the photo where it should be.

I plan to design a dozen or so images featuring my photography and showing my web domain. I can switch them out periodically... or leave the case at home on occasion and go 'naked'!
